Simulation? Maybe.
Maybe it’s true
And all of life
Is a simulated reality
We chose to try
Maybe there’s infinite retries when we die
What do you think?
If we’re in a sim
Does that make everything you’re working for
And all that you’ve done
Meaningless?
Or do you see it differently
Does the idea that maybe
You chose this
Presumably with goal(s) in mind
Make life more meaningful?
When we feel “aligned”
Could it be that we’re shifting closer
To the reason we started
This whole fucking game
In the first place?
And perhaps the idea of God
And absence from
Is just our avatars
Falling out of sync
With our true-selves intentions
And maybe that voice we hear
From the deepest recesses of our soul
That which we call a “conscience”
Is just our true selves
Screaming at the screen
And throwing the controller.

HI, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It was really interesting and it made me stop and ponder . In my humble opinion, I feel that even if we’re are in a simulation, it’s never meaningless. We still feel, love, hurt, hope. Simulated or not, our emotions are real to us. We foĺlow our own paths, our own purpose. Meaning doesn’t have to come from outside. It comes from how we live. And that makes it very real.
